It most certainly does. This whole incident kind of shows you the difference between real Christians, like the Cheneys, who love their daughter no matter what, and phonies, like the Keyes, who are too busy throwing stones in glass houses. Alan Keyes is a real Christian; loving your daughter doesn't mean being a pushover. Also, can you explain how this incident is a case of throwing stones from glass houses?

Keyes doesn't have to accept your daughter's lifestyle, but I believe he does have to accept her and not estrange himself from her. Throwing your kid out of the house is something that I think would be appropriate if your child is a drug addict or serious juvenille delinquent, but I think that just because your child's gay, that shows some cold-heartedness. There's a reason why she's gone to the more radical groups; they're giving her acceptance, something her dad refuses to do.
As for throwing stones in glass houses, I've said before that Keyes spends his time holding himself of as morally superior while he's had serious problems with his daughter for awhile. That's most definitely a sin, and I believe that someone guilty of that big a sin really is in no position to judge others as harshly as he has.
