The Cheney's seem to have changed their views on homosexuality, because their daughter is a homosexual. That is NOT getting it RIGHT!

In your opinion. Perhaps, in their view, they were wrong before.

If the impetus for the change was their daughter's homoseuxuality, they're wrong.

I would personally be disappointed in family members (and friends) if their moral opinion changed about a particular behavior (as in, now it's okay), because I was engaged in that immorality.

You can believe someone is wrong and tell them so and STILL love them very much.
