Agreed, and when you are living "around here" where the Islamofacists killed thousands in the WTC and 4 just last month in Jersey City; and your in-laws live near Kingston, and your kid is often at the Mall; and hubby lives at Best Buy, I'm sorry, the details were wrong; I'm glad it seems not to be Islamofacists, this time anyway, but you just can't be la-dee-dah about this stuff.

I can relate - see my Post 874. I don't think we're la-dee-dah, necessarily, I think a lot of the humor is to break the tension. We Freepers are all over the world - in every state, and in many countries, including Iraq and Afghanistan.
This is the best place for up-to-the minute breaking news, and yes, sometimes it does get a little silly sometimes, but I truly feel a little humor in a tense situation can be a bit of a stress-reliever.
