I find it odd that nobody has yet mentioned Columbine. Another insane killing spree, perhaps? Black clothes, etc.
There have been at least a half dozen of these plots broken up since Eric and Dylan decided to become cult heroes.

Yes, exactly. The ex-cop on Fox was ready to rule out disgruntled employee based on the fact there were three.
But the folks on TV have been advancing a theory that maybe the men were shooting AT each other. Which I suppose could be true.
I live in Saugerties, just north of kingston. My family frequents this mall- especially my daugter. Her best friend just called her and told her that his cousin and her boyfriend were at the mall in New York and Company when they heard the gunshots. Her boyfriend then ran out of the store, and heard someone yell that they'd been shot. It was a policeman, and he went to help him. He then saw the shooter with a handgun, and the shooter pointed the gun at him, but was out of bullets. At this point, that shooter was tackled. I'm assuming that was the captured one. Thank god that there were no more bullets...

A gunman is on the loose in the Kingston area of New York, where up to 10 people have been shot in a shopping centre.The man is thought to possess a machine gun.It is possible a third gunman is also involved, police have said.
Terrified shoppers are huddling in stores and public toilets to hide from the gunman.
Officers in New York state said up to three armed men entered the crowded Hudson Valley Mall in Ulster County in the Kingston area, and began shooting people.
Up to 10 people have been injured in the shootings and one person has been taken to hospital by helicopter.
Police have arrested one man and up to two others are still thought to be inside the shopping centre.
The building has been sealed and emergency services are on the scene.
The suspects are described as wearing black and yellow plastic-like jackets or shirt covers and black masks.
Taking a wait and see attitude. If there's no word of motive in the next three days I'll assume Islam.
I watched as the report went from “terrorists with machine guns” to possibly three men with handguns. Now it seems that it may have been a run of the mill gang shoot out - but in a mall instead of the street.
Its a repeat of this morning's show.
There are usually a maze of corridors and service entrances...but, from my retail working days, those back room doors are fireproof. My thoughts, you would be safer in a 'look down' in the back, on the floor, than running for the door (particularly with multiple gunmen in the building).
The news media seems very quick to report the most outlandish story and slow to report the truth as it develops later. Sensationalism sells, but that isn't professional journalism.
