Why don't you leave this thread now while you are ahead?  Why did you come in here anyway?  For company?  To make friends and influence people?  You failed on all counts.

Just move on.  Smoking threads are NOT for you and don't forget it!  We will never change your mind and you will NEVER change OURS!

Exactly, cigarettes are legal, and there is NO law that requires anyone to buy anything form the state or city they live in.

That's false. Guns are legal too, but there is a law prohibiting you from purchasing a handgun from any other state other than the one you reside in unless you have a Federal Firearms License. That's a problem with making absolute statements.

It means your last statement makes you look like the idiot I thought you were.

Ah!  "Idiot you think he is."  So!  You can't take it but you sure can dish it out.

MOVE ON!

You missed the point I was making, or did you just choose to ignore it?

CPAC is included in my current budget estimates for 2006.

"I'm going to hit the abuse button if this continues."

"Ohhhhh, please, please, don't throw me in the briar patch! Anything but the briar patch!"

It's that far right button.

Guns are legal, yes, but there are also restrictions on them, and in some cases, a license and or background check, are required (hopefuuly both), apples and oranges if you ask me.

The only restriction on cigarettes is the age.

In reality, NYS is trying to set it's own laws on all internet sales.

While filing out your NYS Income Tax form, you are asked if you have ever made any purchases online.

It isn't just cigs they are trying to collect taxes from.

This is really not fair.

Firebrand hasn't been mean or nasty to anyone and although you might not realize it, she has been a long time freeper.

sometimes people go just too far in campaigning for their cause.

Neets, you know what.........you're right.

When I responded to that particular post of firebrand's I thought she was responding to my response to her comment I wouldn't be attending CPAC this year........I failed to check which post was being answered.

It doesn't matter one way or the other to me. I left NYC when I was 22, and I'll be 45 this year....I used to go back to visit on a regular basis, but finally realized I didn't lose anything there. I was last there for my 20th HS reunion - when there were still places that smokers could feel comfortable.

Well, when she started getting opposition, she should have left.

We are all good decent Conservatives and we do not like to be flamed.  We, as well, are long time FReepers.  This isn't a Yahoo Smoking Thread!  This is FReep Republic!
