I'm okay. Too tired to post. Recovery is much more difficult this time around and I've come a long way. They managed to get "it" all this time. Gross total resection. 100% of tumor gone. The Bad News: It's jumped to the next higher grade (III), which means six weeks of combined radiation treatment and a very tolerable oral chemotherapy followed up by a year of the same chemotherapy just to be safe. The Good News: I still plan to be here for a very long time. Joe (MCM)
You have my ongoing prayers, as always, Joe. I am so pleased to hear they got 100% this time. Rest and recover well.
Carolyn
FANTASTIC! You will survive this and be a living example to your family and to all of us. I am the one who told you about my husband's disease of lymphoma. It is gone and will stay gone. He goes back in for chemo in six months for "maintenance" .
Thank goodness you were finally able to post, Joe. We were all getting worried about you. Great news that they were able to get all of the tumor out. I know you will be fine now after you complete all of the radiation and chemo treatments that they have planned for you.
Take care of yourself, get better soon and let us know when Baby #2 arrives. Prayers and best wishes always.
Kathy
MCM, I'll keep you in my prayers!
So glad to hear you got it all! Prayers for your quick and healthy recovery.
Glad to see you will be around to give 'em hell!
'Pod.
Joe, what a terrific update!
We thank God for His goodness toward you.
May He continue to strengthen you and to bless you and your growing family.
Good news, Joe. I have been worried about you!
Prayers continue for your complete recovery.
God bless you and your family.
Whew! I was getting a bit worried about you, Joe. Thanks for the update. Good news on the 100% part, and you've got lots of folks praying for you on the other part. You're in my prayers every day. God bless you and your family.
100%! God Bless!
Deo gratias!
Keep us posted when you can. Looking forward to news of baby #2.
S'wonderful to know they got rid of that blasted tumor at last. Darn shame you have to go through all the chemo but if anyone can lick this it's you - one of the most determined men this forum has ever known.
Still prayin' for you and yours, MrC!!
There you are!!!! We've prayed for you. I'd say every day, but what with raising our 7 year old grandson, I have been remiss and missed every day! But I'd say we've batted every 3 days or so. Which is why I'm here tonight and went looking for you...
I can't tell you how good it is to see you post an update.
TONS of prayers and while I know it's disappointing (and when we admit it, in the beginning frightening) to hear a higher number, I also know that you will keep a positive attitude and will fight and win. (Even when I get reports of progression and higher numbers **under different circumstances because my disease**, I don't "give in" to those reports either. But the news sure knocks me for a loop at first.
Just remember, the mind is a powerful thing. Look at me! Dancin' the Irish jig tomorrow ;o) (just kiddin'...)
Some people don't believe in the power of the mind.. but I do. Because "hope" never dies. But more than that.. I believe in the power of prayer. And you have ours FRiend.
YOU CAN DO THIS.. no matter how wiped out you feel right now... every day you will feel stronger.

Prayers for healing.
God Bless you and your sweet family.
I remember you always in my prayers and just hang in there - this too shall pass.
Hope to hear how you are doing soon.
Think of you often and am sending prayers up for you and yours.
