EASON JORDAN JUST RESIGNED
Top CNN exec resigning over Davos remarks By Carolyn Pritchard CBS MarketWatch Last Updated: 6:40 PM ET Feb 11, 2005 SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- CNN's top news executive, Eason Jordan, said Friday he's resigning amid controversy over his assertion that journalists were targeted and killed by coaltion forces in Iraq. "After 23 years at CNN, I have decided to resign in an effort to prevent CNN from being unfairly tarnished by the controversy over conflicting accounts of my recent remarks regarding the alarming number of journalists killed in Iraq," he said in a note to CNN staff. now if we can get Michael Moore to resign from the human race....
Yeah,the old Friday afternoon bomb!
lol
Well, the left may have driven Jeff Gannon out of the media, but we're way ahead on the count with all the CBS people, Arnett of CNN and probably some others that I can't think of right now. We can't count Jayson Blair, we didn't have anything to do with that one.

Despite comments that may have left a different impression, Jordan said that he does not believe that the U.S. military intended to kill journalists in the Iraq war. If this is true, Hugh Hewitt's prediction on Chrissy's Sunday show (which I boycotted--I read about it here) that the Eason Jordan story would break big this week was correct.
In addition, on election day when many on the right were in panic mode, Hugh was not. He is establishing an excellent reputation for credibility.
Not all that much. But MSM types usually don't go down this easy without a good reason.
I like that..
How magnanimous of him, resigning to avoid CNN from becoming "tarnished"! Decipher his dissembling and what he's really saying is that he got the sack.
They don't count. Just CNN journalists who conspire with terrorists to get ambushes of American troops on tape.
Down goes Jordan! Down goes Jordan!
Play the tape!
You're most welcome
The controversy wasn't over the "conflicting accounts" you idiot, the controversey is over what you said.
In a week in which the MSM has been at war with the bloggers and the "new media" (see Gannon-affair and also the Maryland aide story)--it looks like we won another round.
This only means the MSM will freak out even more, and launch another attack on Free Republic and the bloggers.
I understand Nina Burleigh goes down pretty easy.
I'll be turning on Chrissy TONIGHT!
Pass the NoDoze. These days (and nights) it's fatal to go to bed 'cause we'll miss ANOTHER breaking news event.
RELEASE THE TAPE!
Try the truth !
