Deep Throat Close to Death It appears the Watergate source known as "Deep Throat" may be close to death, and that means that individuals name may be made public for the first time.
Reporter Bob Woodward has said in the past that he would disclose the identity of the course when that person died. Deep Throat helped Woodward and the Washington POst expose the Nixon Water gate scandal.
The Washington Post has already prepared an obituary, which means the world may soon know the secret Woodward has managed to keep for 30-years.

During much of that time, Gerald Ford was in Congress. Watergate began in June 1972. Ford became Veep after Agnew resigned on October 10, 1973. Woodward and Bernstein first began reporting on Watergate from the date of the original break-in as they were listed at the bottom of the initial article as contributors.
Why would Ford have been Deep-Throat? To buy Nixon and insure his ascension to the Presidency, only to immediately blow it by pardoning the guy?
John Dean is a more likely Deep Throat than Ford.

I have a theory that there is no "Deep Throat" except in the minds of Woodward and Bernstein. When someone else they don't like and don't agree with dies (a Republican, of course) they point their finger at some dead guy who can't defend himself. Richard Nixon was not my favorite person, but Woodward and his twisted partner are many rungs below him in my estimation.
You summed up my opinion of those dweebs nicely. They were sure mum on all of the crap the Kenneday's pulled while in the White House. I can't stand the sight of Woodward. I change the channel whenever I see his phoney puppy dog look of sincerity and integrity.

Too funny.
But I still wonder if it's Diane Sawyer.
A stupid letter like that doesn't rule it out.

It can't be Ford. That would be far to slimy--for him to conspire to put himself in office.

Condensed milk is very popular in Argentina and parts of Europe, but it's called Dulce de Leche. They spread it on their toast in the morning. I love it too.

Yeah and I am sure Deep Throat is going to be able to confirm this for all of us. LOL!

I don't think it was Ford, but dt was revealing the money trail of the staff at the re-election committee. If Nixon had separated himself from staff he very well might have saved his presidency.
