Police Make Arrest In Stabbing Death Of School Nurse Victim Was Stabbed In Neck
NEW CASTLE, Del. -- New Castle County police said Friday that they have made an arrest in the slaying of a school nurse found murdered in her home in the Eagle Glen neighborhood.
Police said they have arrested Jing Weidow, 30, in the stabbing death of Mary Anderson, 61, a school nurse at the John G. Leach School. Investigators said it looked like the homicide was the result of a love triangle and that Weidow tried to make it look like a robbery had taken place because there had been several burglaries in the neighborhood.
Col. Dave McAllister said that Weidow had been a student of John Anderson at the University of Delaware eight years ago. She is married and the two couples would go out socially. Mary Anderson didn't know of the affair until Tuesday evening, when police say Weidow confronted her and stabbed her in the neck and face with a kitchen knife.
John Anderson returned home from a trip early Wednesday morning to find his wife dead.
Delaware does have the death penalty.
I wish people would understand - every time you decide to go have sex with someone you're not married to, you put your family at risk. Whether it's HIV, jealosy, or just heartache - an unknown partner can hurt your family more than words can say. And many times, the effects are forever...

I never watch the local news or read the local papers. I heard of the murders on the radio and feel so damn bad each time I drive by that store.

There was no affair, Jing P. Weidow was a disturbed and delusional person who murdered a woman whose husband was deeply in love with his wife. She was enacting a scene out of a movie placing herself as the outside party to an affair that never took place. Mary was an outgoing, warm big hearted woman who accepted everyone and was totally unaware of Jing's mental condition. Jing planned the murder based on her own delusions and not on any fact of matter. This all came out at trial, Jing was convicted and is serving a 30 year term without possiblity of parole, and apon her release will be deported to China where she is from. She murdered a woman who believed in the goodness of people, a woman who went out of her way to help those in need without question. Get the facts right before you post. Jing is a deeply disturbed person and the affair only took place in her mind, no where else.
I personally know John Anderson and he loved his wife, there wasn't an affair with Jing except in Jing's mind. All of the truth came out at the trial. Jing created the affair in her head and planned and carried out a murder on a woman who was outstanding, caring and giving. 350 people attended her funeral, each of them told how Mary went out of her way to help them. She was a woman who trusted people and that trust led to her murder, not any affair or tryst with this monster who made it up. John and Mary were a married couple in the sense of what marriage was all about, love, security with each other and dedication to each other. Jing deserves her punishment of 30 years w/o parole and deportation to China who I hope treats her with the total disregard that she had for her victim and Mary's family.
What a terribly sad story.
Bull. John Anderson didn’t love anyone but himself. He had the best possible wife and what did he do? Cheat on her with a woman who killed Mary. He MUST have known of Jing Weidow’s crazed behavior and thoughts — no one could have hidden that type of pathological personality for very long, let along 8 years!
Get real. This was a horrible tragedy.
