Foot found on beach
04.02.05
Police are investigating the discovery of a human foot clad in a sock and boot on a Timaru beach.
It was found by a man walking his dog on Saturday.
Detective Dylan Murray, of Timaru CIB, said it had not been confirmed if the foot was male or female but the boot was a knee-high dress boot with laces. No other body parts have been located.

A "foot" was found? Or a leg? How much "foot" was in that knee-high dress boot? If there was leg, how much hair was on the leg? Or do women in that area NOT shave their legs?

I got a "kick" out of your post. The police are going to pursue the investigation one "step" at a time.

Possibly a tsunami victim?
To: sierrahome
Unless it was found in China, in that case it belongs to Irene.

Never heard them. Maybe it wasn't a Great White Shark. It may have been the lesser known Good White Shark.

Detective Murray really put his foot in his mouth with that one.

Police are hoping to get a leg up on this investigation, but have so far remained hesitant to out on a limb. They'll stay on the balls of their feet until it's determined whether this is a male or female foot. Until that time, they'll proceed one step at a time. The good detective, meanwhile, is hoping that a succesful conclusion of the investigation will make him a shoe-in for chief inspector. If, on the other hand, this case limps forward, he's going to look like a heel.

Possibly a tsunami victim? The Tsunami was in the Indian Ocean, this was found in New Zealand in the Pacific ocean -- a half a world away.

Foot found on beach Not bad. Not as good as "Eye Drops Off Shelf", but not bad. ;)
