They're left in the position of saying "no" as politely as they can while at the same time, masking their seething rage and hatred of President Bush for leaving them second bit players in American politics. This quote from Reid's response should be brought up whenever the Dems scream about Republicans not being bipartisan...

I want you to know that when we believe the president is on the right track, we won't let partisan interests get in the way of what's good for the country. We will be first in line to work with him. But when he gets off track, we will be there to hold him accountable.

Did he not just say that when the Dems agree with President Bush, they'll let his plans go through, but when they don't, they won't... is that not the epitome of partisanship? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

Free Republic is such a good source of info. I was watching Pelosi last night (same old stuff, different day) and I kept trying to figure out what was wrong with her eyes. She rarely blinked, and they were huge. And her facial expression was odd.

I think the facelift/Botox pretty much 'splains it.

Not that I was losing sleep, but one of my life's little puzzlements has now been solved.
