**The highlights I saw were of lots of standing ovations - watching the VP sitting then standing, sitting than standing...on these edited highlights it look kinda funny. I love the enthusiasm shown by your Congress (well most of 'em)for the words of the President.
Being Australian I just couldn't imagine our politicians getting so enthused about our Prime Minister. Except when they want to boo him!**

I thought that too Oz could not imagine any scene that that in the British Parliment LOL

Interesting to read your comments about your parliaments' restraint. I didn't know that was the case because when I see the UK parliament, it's quite vocal.

I don't know why our Congress gets so whooped up. Maybe it's because they have been slugging it out against the dishonorable opposition *and the media corrupts* and when they finally get a whack at the bully pulpit, they let out the stops.
