A few freepers tried to explain to me how the lazer blinding works.
I am still having trouble understanding it.
But the multiple reports that have been coming in on lazer incidents here in NJ are leaving me open to speculate about this incident.
Earlier in this thread someone posted there familiarity with the runways at Teterboro too.
That poster said the runway this plane was trying to take off from was too short. I would like to hear more about that.
Cal, as I understand the laser, the thin stream of light is
so intense that it actually burns the eye.
Many could explain and understand it better than I.
I do know that even the very cheap/almost toy ones are
dangerous for kids to play with. Or so I read over and
over.
I assume it is about the same as not looking at eclipses or staring at the sun.
If you are looking for the number of feet in the runway, I can't
help you, but I do feel that it is too short, or he would
not have gone off it and hit the building........
Your answer on lasers should be here..
