Question: Have physicians conducted brain wave scans? How many, how often, and under what conditions - music, etc.? All I've seen is the one x-ray.

I believe they have. I don't think any doctors have changed their opinions based upon them, though. The doctors who would call Terri PVS even if she punched them in the nose ("obvious reflex") say they show she's PVS, and the ones who say that PVS patients don't vocalize in response to familiar people's voices say they show she's clearly not PVS.

According to what I've read, Terri isn't always alert, reactive. So, if scans were not for an extended length of time, and conducted periodically during a year, over the years, the results can't be an accurate assessment of her overall condition.

Trying to remember back, isn't Greer Terri's surrogate?

btw, your clever post on Portia made me drag out my Complete Works of Shakespeare. But I haven't gotten around to reading Merchants of Venice yet.
