I would certainly think that his rulings would be moot, but I'm no expert.

Thanks for the post. It is obvious that Bush can save Terri if he is inclined to do so.

A year later, in April 2001, her death by dehydration was ordered to begin, and the day her feeding was stopped her brother and sister came by with a spoon and a cup of pudding, asking a nurse to try to feed her by mouth. The nurse refused and reported the request to others. When Schiavo found out he demanded that Bobby and Suzanne be removed from the list of approved visitors, and Greer rubberstamped his request.

"We were trying to play by the rules," Bobby told WorldNetDaily. "But that didn't matter. We were kicked off the list anyway."

Terri was 60 hours without food or water before a different judge issued an emergency stay because new evidence had come to light, and her feeding was resumed.

The evidence was strong enough for a stay, but not strong enough to end Schiavo's efforts. A series of appeals followed, and in November 2001, the 2nd District Court of Appeals ordered an evidentiary hearing held in the fall of 2002.

Five months following their banishment from the Hospice, Bobby and Suzanne Schindler had their visiting rights restored, but only on condition that they not attempt any spoon-feeding.

"I don't want anyone trying to feed that girl," Greer thundered.

KDD has made 3 posts re Terri plus the one on the Florida board. At face value appears to be quite the cheerleader for judges and courts.

Good find phenn! Quite interesting that they publish it now, probably figured it would get buried in all the Superbowl news.

FV has posts that quote, I just thought the 'rule of law' was something she added for emphasis.

I'll look again.

Why don't we write her and ask her to elaborate on that point.

Greer: "I don't want anyone to feed that girl." "The rule of the case is that she is doing to die." It's been repeated here at Free Republic but the quote did not originate with me. I don't know if he said those quotes at the same time or separately.

ANYBODY know the origin of Judge Greer's quotes about THAT GIRL and ...that she is going to die?

Maybe other freepers may know the origin of the Greer quotes.

NEW TALKING POINT WHEN YOU CALL GOVERNOR BUSH THIS WEEK:

Post 118 is a good case citation to pass along to Governor Bush. No need to read Jeb's staff the section, but certainly, we can give them the 415.1051 and say it is in re: Emergency Protective Services Intervention.

A Governor has duties and powers. We must firmly but diplomatically ask Jeb Bush to use them!

Boy, that took a lot of thought. You should be careful who you marry, lest you be thought ready to fertilize.

Case in point, your very first post (regarding stop loss policy):

"I thought that the president declared the end of combat in April 2003, he can't force people to keep fighting with the stop loss becase were not a war, right. Thats what i thought"

TUTSTAR, your letter at 112 is still a winner. FREEPERS, PLEASE READ 112. Freeper tutstar spells everything out in a letter to SPEAKER OF THE FLA HOUSE ALLAN BENSE.

THIS IS AN EASY CALL TO MAKE AND IT'S TOLL FREE. PLEASE CALL FLA SENATE PRESIDENT TOM LEE AT: 1-800-560-4403. They're getting flustered which is a good sign and if Tom Lee's office tries to find out where you are, in addition to asking him to get a bill out of committee to protect Terri and future Terri's. PLS OUT OF STATERS, TELL TOM LEE that this is A NATIONAL, AMERICAN CRISIS and that Florida's not looking like such a good place to vacation.

In other words, you have heard there is talk about a Pinellas County boycott or an across the board boycott of Florida by tourists. The boycott is ready to go but that group is holding off temporarily to see who will save Terri.

IT IS MURDER BY MEDICAID ORDERED BY A FLORIDA JUDGE who refuses to meet Terri and she's never been represented by counsel. NEVER. Gibbs is her parents' attorney.

My talking points for the day. Use them if you like. FV

Matt C.'s web site is a front imo. Although it looks like he's presenting facts, he's on the other side and I think he's getting material from them, distorting not reporting.

"The rule of the case is that she is doing to die." Greer

I don't know if he said it to the media but if he did that would be another violation of the judicial canons imo.

That's one of the quotes as I read it here on free republic. Not originated by me. Maybe the January thread is where I saw it. I'll check the Jan. thread today.

Begging for others to act to save Terri as well. She needs protection ASAP:

11:01am feb 2, 2005
mel martinez office
202-224-3041

can i hold please.. yes

brianne .

i told her that i wanted to know what mel martinez is doing in regards to the terri schiavo matter.

she said they haven't formulated anything yet in this regard.

i told her that i voted for mel martinez and i would like to be contacted back as to what is being done, etc. because someone contacted the senator tom lee and was told that this was a federal matter. that i do believe it to be a federal matter as well because the hospice of the florida suncoast, inc. gets funding for medicare/medicaid and yet they are have in the past tried to starve/dehydrate terri to death (2nd time being in Oct. 15, 2003) which is against the law plus that the hospice of the florida suncoast, inc. is connected with the Veteran Administration as well. I also told her that I had sent an evidence cd of crimes against Terri to the Tampa Field Office of the FBI and the US DOJ Disability Rights Section but that I never got any response back and that I would like to know why. I said that I believe that the Florida governor needs to step in and that the Federal authorities need to step in as well. She took down my name and number and said someone would be getting back to me. I said thanks.

she will make sure someone will get back to me in regards to my concerns.

Senate President Tom Lee: 1-800-560-4403
I just called the number above.
The lady that answered said that Terri's case was a Federal issue. I was shocked.

I said the legislature had the power to repeal the starvation and dehydration of the disabled. That this was only made a law in 1999.

She was actually rather rude. Told me not to yell at her. I ignored that since I wasn't yelling, just started telling her that he did have the power to save Terri and others like her. That what they passed in 1999 could also be repealed and that other state did not allow the starvation and dehydration of the disbaled. My voice became more emotional, but I was definitely polite.

Maybe these bozos really don't know they can repeal laws they passed. we need to make sure we hold their feet to the fire.

I think we need to target certain offices that have more power, like the senate president's office. we need to let them know we are not going to let them pass the buck. Florida decided to starve and dehydrate the disable, not the Federal government.
