I refuse to pray for a woman that has dedicated her life to causes that want to abolish Christianity in this country.
How odd.
Didn't the person whose life is the very basis for Christianity exhort his disciples to "love your enemies"?
And I think he said something about praying for those who persecute you.
I think what He may have trying to say is the love is better than hate. And that love is better than vindictiveness.
Wasn't there someone named Paul who elaborated on this point? I think he said something like love keeps no record of wrong, and it is kind.
I could be wrong about all this. You no doubt know more about Christianity than I do.
