If a woman has a "the right to her own body" I don't see why she can't whore it out for cash.

I think I should clarify that I am being facetious.

Just one question.
Who do you think is paying for prostitutes?

The hypocrisy of our prostitution laws make me sick. If you want to be soooo "moral"..tell me why the women are only arrested? Sure, a very few men are busted for "soliciting"...but sure not enough to stop prostitution. I agree this is a stupid policy they have in Germany, if that is the case. But legalized prostitution cuts down on crime, disease, etc. And why is Reno making so much money on this? Let's just quit the 'morality" punishment. If there is a crime ( robbery, assault, etc) committed, arrest the person. If you really want to be non-hypocritical then arrest ALL the customers too, the judges, attorneys, suburban married guys.

Why not? Boxers do it, as do all professional athletes. What about soldiers? Or anyone with dangerous jobs, or jobs that depend on their physical skills.

One of the reasons people put forward against prostitution is the harm it causes the prostitute herself... Both physically and emotionally. Is she more at risk than a soldier in a war zone?

I've got some serious issues about the whole "who owns me" debate. But that's for another thread.

This has always been my question. Also, why can't we get prescription medications without having to pay for a doctor's visit? The only reason should be for public health (e.g., to prevent overuse of antibiotics--leading to resistant bacteria). Otherwise, the hypocrisy with abortion is crazy.

However, that doesn't mean a woman should be forced to (a) become a prostitute, (b) take medications, or (c) have an abortion. Only in the third case is there an innocent life lost...it should be the only one banned!
