It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
I heard alot of people were going to wait to see what happens and vote in the afternoon.
good question ... i would not vote where the news media is broadcasting .... those stations with the news media are the targets.
Can I be the first to say it? Exit polls currently show Kerry ahead in most of the 18 provinces, plus Florida and Ohio.
I should play the lottery :) LOL!
I am celebrating, I'm also praying for our troops and the Iraqi's safety. Is that not allowed on this thread?
I want Michael Moore over there aggressively documenting any instances of voter intimidation and taking on the intimidators in his usual confrontational style.
Wouldn't that be sweet?

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Voters trickled into polling stations under tight security Sunday in Iraq, casting ballots despite insurgents who promised to sabotage the country's first free election in a half-century.
Poll workers checked identifications, and Iraqi President Ghazi al-Yawer was one of the first to vote at election headquarters in the heavily fortified Green Zone, calling the election his country's first step "toward joining the free world."
As poll workers watched, he marked two ballots and then dropped them into boxes. A poll worker handed him an Iraqi flag as he left.
"I'm very proud and happy this morning," al-Yawher told reporters. "I congratulate all the Iraqi people and call them to vote for Iraq."
Even before voting began, mortar fire boomed across Baghdad as the world awaited the vote that will echo from militant Islamic Web sites in the Mideast to the halls of the White House. Insurgents rocketed the U.S. Embassy late Saturday in Baghdad, killing two Americans. Seven people were arrested in the attack.
Do you have an Iraq state by state electoral vote map yet?
All I've had is the Shiner Bock, but according to people whose palate is better than mine, say that the other Shiner Beers are better than the Shiner Bock. And I love Shiner Bock (all I can get here), even more such than my previous beer of choice, Sam Adams/Sam Adams Light. (Go Texas!)
Oh FGS, this is why I stopped watching L&O about 4 years ago, and I thought it used to be a pretty good show. It went WAY too political. They ought to take a lesson in the "Johnny Carson style" of entertainment.
He wishes LOL
Here it is.....
What's up with that?
But the intimidators are gun toting, bomb wearing "freedom fighters" and the last thing Michael Moore wants to do is make them look bad.
Hmmmmm, now where have we heard that before? By the way, have you had your raisens today? LOL
They have two ballots to vote on. One for national assembly and one for some other kind of local assembly.
IIRC There are two ballot....one has names the other has referendums.
Three boxes: Soap, Ballot, Munition. :D
