It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
I believe your right, I know I do
Did you see Hannity and Colmes the other night when William Bennett was on?
They were debating the crap that Kennedy was spewing about how our troops were the problem, not the solution, and of course, Alan was talking about no WMDs, blah, blah, blah,
Well, Bennett said something to the effect that Kennedy otta just be grateful that the little problem with the car years ago isn't constantly thrown back in his face!!!
You could have heard a pin drop---alan looked like he'd been slapped---it was funny, and I was ssoooooo glad that Bennett had the cojones to bring up the subject!!!
Hey you're right!!! Gotta add that one to my list.
IIRC Bagdad Bob's son was doing his medical internship in the "FREE world". There were intially rumor that he had taken his own life....BUT when the coast was clear and he found out he wasn't going to be killed, he came out of hiding....He'd let his natural color return to his hair and he looked like he had aged 30 years. Most just felt sorry for him...all he was doing was trying to stay alive by doing and saying anything he was told to say.
Yes...my brain is like cobwebs...I seem to recall vaguely...but not all the pieces are there. You're right, though...that's what it was. My first memory of him, though, was his constantly looking at himself...
Now, am I mistaken, but did he not (or someone else I can't recall) sing sometimes? Didn't we hear that? I also do remember hearing men speaking...is it Arabic?
Geraldo asking a military man about Kennedy's remarks--says everybody wants to go home (DUH!!)
I heard that, Txsleuth. It was GREAT! I was listening to it on XM radio and nearly drove off the road when I heard it.
BWAAAAHAAAAAA!!!
Yes, it does, friend. The events we've witnessed in the past year are awesome---in the truest sense of the word.
Freedom is on the March.
All I can add is: "God bless America!"
Darn--I missed that!!
Nope... I missed it. I've tried watching H&C but decided it was too argumentative for my tastes.
yup........all on my list.....used to live near Miramar when I lived in San Diego going to grad school back when it still was "Topgun".........
I think he said "Wow, what was that?"....
Sounded like it to me anyway.
Allawi is a man of incredible honor.
He's met men like Kerry. He'd never turn his back on him.
And, they've no bunker to hide in!
well he is in good company since we all hold Kerry in contempt
Don't get me started on anti Cowboys bias. I'm not holding my breath for Irvin even though he clearly deserves it. I was beside myself that they screwed Bob Hayes and Rayfield Wright last year, especially Bob. Ditto Drew Pearson, Howley, Jordan, Harris, Renfro.
Pales in comparison to events like tonight's but burns me nonetheless.
Darn! I'm sorry I missed that!
Go Mr. Bennett! Go!
Prayers for our military and the Iraqi people.
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." Psalm 20:7
Yes, he primped...a LOT. I don't remember him singing.
I do remember him hiding under his bed and missing all the action when our guys were chasing the Iraqis in their underwear down the river bank!
That's where we got: pretty + chicken.
But the "1 -2 -3" night was the funniest. We 'bout fell off our chairs every time he started again...1,2,3. I'm laughing just typing it!
Alan infuriated me. Yeah, yeah. I know folks say he is a good guy. I know they state it's his "job" to defend the liberal side of the equasion. It ISN'T his job to defend Treason.
Bennett was marvelous!
