I actually thought maybe NBC wouldn't be totally negative. Just call me Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.

I cant wait to see Peter Jennings version of events.. The Iraqi voters had a temper tantrum today, will probably be his response.

It must be a taped piece. As you know, the news from Baghdad is several hours behind real time. Let's see what they say about this historic election this evening.

Thank you for starting this thread.
It's been a historic day in Iraq. May God give them courage and their police give them safety. And may God give the Iraqi people the understanding and gentleness of heart to thank and help our troops who have freed a nation.

That report from Williams must have been several hours old as well.

Kerry just demurred from calling this election "legitimate".
Of a sorts, he said.
I'm almost glad to see them doing this. They're "still digging" as the old saying says. Americans won't fail to see this as sore loserman territory. Whatta bunch of sourpusses.

Not to mention the fact that now Iran is surrounded on two sides (maybe three, not sure about their northern border any more, who is up there) by democracies. Maybe while we are at it we should "encourage" Khaddafi to hold open elections, even if we "allow" him to win?
