It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
s'cuse me while I hurl chunks.
I'm with you on that...
I couldn't believe she actually said 'I don't want to be negative, but that's my job' (or some such)...
Denny Crane: "I want two things. First God and then Fox News."
And, 2:19 am for me....
I'll catch up with you all later.
Godspeed to the Iraqi people and our troops.
I'll take your word for it that he is a cutie....LOL, but when he gets going, he only needs a short runway
The runt on MSNBC said "the terrorists window of opportunity is closing" and they have maybe til 5 AM our time to get anything done. These people are kinda weird, phrasing these things this way. But he said they wanted most of the VOTING done by then, too.
Yea I've noticed that.
It was shameful how he covered Clinton. Don't have much comment on his behavior. We all have to move on. I hope Clinton and his wife retire to their own island somewhere.
Thier worst nightmare would be for Cheney to step down, Bush selects a viable candidate to finish Cheney's term and who would be elected in '08 because things going so well on the homeland and abroad.
God bless our military and protect them.
God Bless Our Soldiers
?
It amazes me that some Americans whine about having to stand in line for over an hour to vote and here these beautiful, LIBERATED, people stand in line knowing that the person behind them may have bombs strapped to their bodies.
Right behind you, Right. I have to work all day tomorrow, and I'll be useless if I don't get some sleep. Allegra, please stay safe and note well the history playing out before your eyes. You are privileged to be a part of it, and my prayers are with you for safety.
Someone got careless.. damn. Prayers.
Yes, they are very weird. They are disappointed with the terrorists. They want more bombs, more blood, more chaos. They need to make political hay out of it to hurt Bush.
Earlier today I heard that they expected many voters to wait to see how the morning went before venturing to the polls.
thanks guys... I think it picks up later...besides...those who don't vote, well, that's THEIR problem...they will NEXT TIME
These are the revolutionaries that will be the subject of historic awe in their own country. I remember a few people remarking that they had no heros, that they had to look to America for heros, the President and our troops for examples, because they had been oppressed for so long. No longer. They have a generation of Heros putting their lives on the line today.
Reminder- Some of us are inking our right index finger blue in a show of solidarity. If you don't have an ink bottle break open a blue pen or pull out a marker. Use blue koolaid if you have to. LOL
Not a big surprise, their usual technique of Car Bombs isn't working!
listening to Susan is like hearing a wounded pig squealing.....it is hard on the ears
:-) Hayward. Good on you! I have some friends in the Oakland Hills, including a couple who lost their home in the fire. This is a beautiful area ... and there are more of us than the Left thinks!
That would make sense. I just think Iraqis would want this to be a success for themselves but also to end the occupation--I mean, if we were occupied by friendly forces, I'd want them to leave, too, so it's not so much anti-American as pro-independence.
