Okay, in the first place I am not a he. And it was not idle gossip at a luncheon. It was leading Republicans, serious workers. Have a nice day.
Her comments did not hurt Bush and probably not the Iraqis.
They did, however, hurt her in the eyes of her former supporters.
I don't know anything about her mental health, etc., but I have not seen any outrageous criticisms here that warrant your reaction.
The criticisms are mostly disappointment, or wondering what the heck caused temporary insanity on Peggy's part.
P.S. Please, everybody! I'm not a purist, but let's not pull that line, let's toe it.
