We have a Family Friend of ours named Marylin Hendrickson who has been nominated by Governor Schwarzennegger for a seat on the California Fish and Game board of Trustees.
She has been one of the leaders in an organiztion of which our family is very active, California Inland Fisheries Foundation. It's website is www.kokanee.org. It's mission is to improve the fisheries of California. Marylin was instramental in the founding in 1992 and remains Vice President today.
She and her husband also own their own tackle business and produce their own outdoor radio show aired Saturday mornings here in Sacramento. They also have written a book on fishing. Their website is www.seps.com
However, she is under assault by radical enviornmentalists. They have called her unqualified, yet she is more qualified than others on the board that were appointed by Gray Davis. They have asked the State Senate to reject her.
