I thought that was the first thing he commented on. When I started paying attention he was commenting about remembering them and honoring their sacrifice by finishing the mission.

He did comment on the chopper crash. He said it was being investigated, it was sad, and he wouldn't comment until he knew the facts, he had only rumors on details.

The White House never makes official comment on military accidents/KIAs until investigations are complete and family members are notified.

He said it was sad anytime there is a loss of life in this war but had heard rumors on the cause of the crash and would wait till investigation was complete to comment further.
