Anti-Bushies take anger out on the wrong target
I'm not sure how many readers read or heard about the haranguing of Sgt. 1st Class Jeff Due at Seattle Central Community College during the Thursday protests of President Bush's second inauguration. Due was badly harassed by a large crowd that destroyed military literature and eventually drove the man off while under campus security protection.
It is one of the great, colossal mistakes of the so-called peace movement that they badger and mistreat recruiters and other people whose job it is to keep the ranks filled. Speaking as a reservist who was brought into the fold by men like Due, I am flummoxed that any group claiming to be smart about international politics can be so stupid as to attack the troops because of the decisions being made in Washington, D.C.
Save your ire and your vitriol for the politicians.

Expelled?..probably given extra credit.
Tighten up the "Get Out of the Draft" deferral options and bring back the draft...
Well, this certainly proves that free speech is good only if the libs approve of what you say....
What do you expect. These people have the brain of a turnip. Seriously, they're stupid!
It was no mistake. This is what these miscreants do. Hateful vile losers.
The picture reminds me of a photo of the old South when black girls were being escorted into a school. The mob trying to intimidate them with hatred on their face was not unlike this one.
The Al Queda (Muslim extremists) define tolerance as accepting all the ideas that agree with you, and kill all the people who disagree with you so only people who agree with you exist.
Note for any Muslims: I am not attacking your religion.
Al Queda is to Muslims, as KKK is to Christians.
I am curious as to why the MILITARY did not press charges against the students....
Apparently not all terrorists are Middle Eastern ...
Oh, that was a good one!
I am curious as to why the MILITARY did not press charges against the students....
That would give them (the "students") validation for their actions. |
Personally, I'd rather see the recruiters "accidentally" beat the snot out of these arrogant little cretins
Last week I went to the inauguration. I watched these spoiled street filth assualt a DC cop at D & 7th st. and harass women and children minding their own business. They also assualted counter-protesters.
The one and only time I was ever harrased when I was in uniform was on a college campus. Some "little boy" (19 or 20 yers old) spit on me. It was totally disgusting, and luckily for him, he ran away before I could drag him into the nearest alley and hand him his b@lls.
"I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post." ~ COL Jessep, "A Few Good Men"
I love the quote, Diana. And, thank you for your service. Too bad I didn't join, it would have shaped me up. I'm trying to make up for my errant liberal past (not my fault!)by supporting and sticking up for the uniform wherever and whenever.
I confess I asked my question very "tongue in cheek." I have worked at two "institutions of higher learning" in California and I know just how worthless they have become. Kent State was a LONG time ago . . .
That's OK..It gave us a chance to vent our disdain for the "institutions" and their biases.
