He certainly does look cheerful Gretchen I think he has really enjoyed these special ceremonies and events a climax to his wonderful career. Long may he enjoy himself he deserves it.

I got to watch the service on a big screen, snugs, and I think the VP did enjoy it immensely, in his own quiet way. It's sometimes a little hard to tell with him, although it certainly wasn't on Inauguration Day! You could tell he loved every minute of that. As you say, we can hope so. He richly deserves his enjoyment after what he has been through from his enemies. And in fact, what he has ahead of him.

I enjoy watching the VP and President interact. It's heartwarming to see the immense and genuine gratitude and respect that is so evident between these two fine men and leaders. I love that picture of the handshake between the two during the Inaugural. Neither smiled or said anything, but somehow you could see the true emotion in that handshake. I suspect the relationship between them has deepened through the trials of that first administration.
