They are fun. Several that I have are just as cuddly as a dog or cat and love to be handled. Charlie is sitting on my shoulder as I type sipping Coke, trying to remove my glasses and making belching noises.

I have always wanted a parrot somehow mum's budgie was not quite the same but we have always had dogs so probably would not have worked with a parrot.
