I don't know about early, but the STeelers game plan has about 6 deep balls a game to keep defenses loose.

Going 4 wide against a 3-4 blitzing D might not be a good idea. Belichick might want to start off attacking Pitt's strength, show them he's not afraid to try to run against them.

Yes, at least until Roeth throws a 2nd pick. Cowher is always hesitant to make substitutions, but he also doesn't want to repeat the disaster against the Jets. If Roeth throw 2 INTs, Cowher will go with Maddox.

Yeah but keeping him in the backfield to pick up the blitz limits his threat. The fun part about this is it's 2 strong 3-4 defense. I love the 3-4 and think part of the AFC current dominance is tied to the fact that more teams are doing the 3-4 (a few years ago the Steelers were the only 3-4 team in the league, now 5 or 6 AFC teams run it, still none in the NFC). This game will probably be a defense camp.
