Hollywood Henderson had to eat his words after Bradshaw lit the Cowboys up in Super Bowl 13.

Well with the bye week we need other things to talk about as well.

How about Babe Parilli then? Or Gino?

Gino should be in the Hall of Fame.

Never forget Bradshaw called his own plays, takes brains to be both the QB and offensive coordinator.

Talk about deja vu. Good thing Dick Vermeil got him a ring.

The fact that he scored the tying touchdown both times must make it even more painful. After he scored the tying toucdown in last year's Super Bowl you know he looked up at the clock and thought, "Oh no. Not again!".

It would have been something to set that record and still be on the losing team. I wonder if we'll ever see another Chuck Howley, a player from the losing team being named the game's MVP?

regarding cowher:

remember at the end of the eagles' game, when Lewis got his 2nd TD with just under 4 minutes left? the pandemonium that broke loose because the game was iced away?

that, my friends, is the difference between a 13 point lead and a 17 point lead. had the Steelers' defense held, they would have forced NE into a decision no less difficult than cowher's.

less probable comebacks have happened. to new england. this year. (dolphins game)

Nope not now! Pats by 13.

don't believe the hype. while historically, the superbowls following two-week breaks are blowouts (relative to the one-week ones), rarely have two coaching staffs this good and well-matched-up been involved. in my opinion, the only way either team wins this game by double-digits is if they score last after the losing team gets desperate.

don't believe the hype. -- Hey kid. Get something straight. I'm not listening to any hype. So I'm not believing any hype. Got it?

while historically, the superbowls following two-week breaks are blowouts (relative to the one-week ones) -- I've never heard so much malarkey. Let me request that you not post any more of your sophomoric sports profundities to me again, o.k? Please save your advice and "wisdom" for others. Thanks.

I've never heard so much malarkey.

look it up - when they cut the preiod between championship week and the SB to 7 days, the games tightened. it's been discussed in for more serious sports circles than this.

disagree with my opinions all you want, but if you want to dispute that, persuade me with some other possible reasons why it happened.

of course, when they trimmed the pre-SB hype period, the profits also tightened - so I don't expect we'll see it happen again (unless there's a 9/11-type event).

Pretty rude of the announcers not to tell us who the kid was.

I noticed this when I returned from the game and watched it on the TiVo. I'm sure someone told you later in the thread, but it not, let me know, and I will pontificate. or something.
