Gotta wonder if any of the Steelers actually chased Harrison. Rothlesberger made him slow down almost to a stop in order to set up a block - seems like some of the Steeelers could have caught him from behind.
I think we are seeing which team is the better team here. Imagine if it were being played in Foxboro.
Doesn't this seem familiar from the last time we played these guys?Ya... in a paradoxical sorta way! ;-)
NE has allowed 3 field goals in almost 6 quarters of playoff football without their 2 best defensive players!
It's looking that way.
thanks for the correction... I am reading it right now.
I have a very upset Steelers fan on my hands here. Unfortunately, his wife is a Patriots fan. I'm trying so hard not to gloat. :-)
GO PATRIOTS
They're the best coached team in the league. At no point in the season did I think this game was in hand. Belichick is too damn good, especially in the playoffs.
That was a very smart play by Harrison...giving the receiver room so Ben would throw to him, then grabbing the easy interception.
Are we sure that Kordell did not sneek into a Stillers uniform?
With "Svengali" Belichick coaching, there could br 11 zombies out there... ;-?
I disagree with the wacko pick of Steelers. Steelers are championed by libs and patriots are demeaned by libs... but here it is!
Let's start with the Steelers hosting the Patriots. The Patriots opened up as a three-point favorite on the road. They had a home team dog. Now, forget the environmental wacko method. If you got a home team dog, the rule, if you bet games this way, is to take the home team dog. I'll just telling you. And the Steelers are going to make mincemeat out of this. I mean, they like nothing better than being a 15 -- now 16 -- and 1 team, being an underdog at home. That will lower expectations psychologically. So that's interesting. But the point, the line's come down last night. The last I saw, 2-1/2 points, with some early money on the Steelers this week that brought the point down from 3 to 2-1/2. I don't know where. I haven't checked today where it is, but probably in the same range. Now, the environmental wacko method. As you know, this is a way of picking the games, incorporating anti-American policy, favored by the left, in choosing the winners.
I did this way back in the early days of the program because I love picking games, but I was told that women weren't interested in it and a lot of issue-oriented guys didn't like football and weren't interested, so how could I combine my love for football with everybody else's desire to hear politics discussed into one presentation? Bammo! I came up with the environmental wacko method. Now, in the Patriots and the Steelers, who do we have in the Patriots? Well, one view of the Patriots is patriots, patriotic guys! Pro-America, hubba, hubba. These are the guys that you can count on to save yourself, save the country in times of bad trouble or in need. Another view of the Patriots is... A bunch of oppressive, slave-owning white guys who ran roughshod over the Native Americans who were here and have rightfully owned this country for all these years. The Patriots are a bunch of people that bought racism, sexism, bigotry and homophobia to these shores, and if it hadn't been for the arrival of these so-called white guys who are now dead, this would be a far more beautiful and pristine country owned by the Indians who were at one with this nation and the buffalo who've also almost been wiped out, were it not for Ted Turner.
Who are the Steelers? (scoffs) It doesn't get much better here in picking this game. Steelers? A bunch of polluters! The Steelers are named after the steel mills that made Pittsburgh so dirty that guys had to take three and four shirts to work every day because by ten in the morning you had black soot all over your business shirt in your office. It killed people. It destroyed people. It oppressed people. It forced them into unions. Working in the steel mills? No future whatsoever. Many of them died early. Their wives and their families had nothing but the same destitute future. How do you pick between the dead white guys who brought racism, sexism, homophobia and all this stuff to a bunch of polluting steel people? It's rather easy. You balance it. In this case, had it not been for the dead white guys, the Patriots, there wouldn't have been any Steelers, and it's now time for revenge to take place. The Native Americans who literally have a birthright to this nation -- they and the buffalo -- it is they who hope and pray the Steelers finally, once and for all, take care of these so-called Patriots and end their existence once and for all. So in this case, you bite the bullet. You go with pollution over the people who destroyed the country in the first place.
In the case of the Falcons and the Eagles, another toughie, folks: both birds that epitomize freedom. They are above and beyond the call and the grasp of humanity. They are beautiful. They are pristine. They were here long before us and they will be here long after we are, except one of these birds is associated with the Patriots. The dead white guys that came here and destroyed this land and brought racism, sexism, bigotry and homophobia and destroyed the pristine nature of the land and the oneness the Indians had with the buffalo adopted the eagle as their official bird. Meanwhile, the Falcons? Why, you can capture a falcon. You can't capture an eagle, but you can legally capture a falcon, and you can make it your pet and you can train it and you can put it on your hand and finger. The falcon understands modern man. The eagle is above and beyond and better than, and looks down from above and sneers, knowing of its previous relationship with the dead white guys who brought racism, sexism, bigotry and homophobia. So it's easy. You pick the Falcons. It's the Falcons and the Steelers, and together, once and for all, the racism, sexism, bigotry and homophobia and pollution and all that was brought here by the dead white guy Patriots and their bird will be dealt a mortal blow on Sunday night.
Obviously this is Bush's fault.
Looks like the Pats will win outside the margin of error.
The party will be here, come to my house-you-mo-we will wake up the hood.
Fight Stealers...FIGHT!!

After this game the Patriots will be looking for another Pennsylvania team to kick around...any volunteers?
