LOS ANGELES - The three CBS News executives asked to resign for their roles in the network's discredited story about President Bush's National Guard service had not done so by Wednesday, more than a week later. It was unclear whether their lack of action foreshadows a legal battle between CBS and Josh Howard, executive producer of "60 Minutes Wednesday"; his top deputy, Mary Murphy; and CBS senior vice president Betsy West. "There are discussions going on with them," CBS chairman Leslie Moonves said. Moonves would not elaborate further, and network spokesman Gil Schwartz declined to say whether CBS had been contacted by lawyers representing the three executives. The producer of last September's story, Mary Mapes, was fired outright Jan. 10 after an independent panel found CBS rushed the story critical of Bush's military service on the air without ever proving that documents upon which it was based were real. Howard and Murphy were asked to resign for failing to fulfill their supervisory roles and letting the story air. The panel said Murphy did not follow an order from CBS News President Andrew Heyward to quickly investigate when questions were raised about the documents. West did not immediately return a telephone call Wednesday, and Howard declined comment. Attempts to find a telephone number for Murphy were unsuccessful.

I'd stick it out till the details TRULY came out, about how Maples, Rather and the DNC massaged that story to push it out.
These guys are fall guys for something that Blather and Maples did.
I'd hold out, clear my name, and force CBS to fire the right people and indict the DNC on federal election tampering charges.

When people are really fired or even laid off in a reduction of personnel, they don't get past the front door if they were home when fired. Security meets them at the door or gate, hands them a box of their personal stuff from their desk/office. They sign for their personal stuff and someone from personnel hands them their termination package after they sign documents noting that they were fired for cause and acknowledging their termination package.
If they are on the premises when they are fired, they get escorted outside by security and then they get their personal goodies and termination package.
These people weren't fired!

I'd love to see this get blown up, but SeeBS will basically pay these people off with the condition of keeping their mouths shut about the whole scandal. They have to. At least some element of SeeBS news participated in criminal fraud, and then the cover-up began.
If these left wing POS are still at C BS, they were not fired.
Corporations don't allow people who were or are fired to be around their offices.
