I met "old" President Bush at a campaign event at my college, when he was running for re-election as Vice President. I uttered the immortal words, "Wow! It's nice to meet you, Mr. Vice President! I hope you win!" I'm sure he remembers me :-).

Brushes with greatness are a rush.
LD had a talk show on a local AM station after he left office, and I called one night to rebut a statement one of his guests had made.
After a little reminder, he actually did remember me.
Well, he remembered the event, at any rate.

I hope you win!" I'm sure he remembers me :-). I had to stop on the side of the road when he was VP while he flew over me in a helicopter! I waved, and so I KNOW he remembers me! :-)
