My cat used to think that if he couldn't see the vet, she couldn't see him. He'd be on the examining table and she'd be ready to give him a shot or something, and he'd stick his head under my arm. He thought it made him invisible even though his 14 pounds of Siamese tokhas was still hanging out in plain view. Every so often, he'd pull his head out, turn around, and hiss at her, then quickly run his head under my arm again.

She could usually get the needle in him before he figured out it was coming . . .

My dog on the other hand LOVES the vet and can't wait to see her. Go figure.

Dogs can read character. Vet probably really loves dogs.
