Yep. I have no doubt he adores his granddaughters, but you know how it is with men and their sons and grandsons. I'm sure the VP just dotes on that little guy.

(It's official. 'Beezie' is the new WH puppy's call name, per Mrs. Bush on TV 1/19/05.)

From what I understand Philip is the first male in the Cheney family since Dick and his brother were born so he is extra special I would suspect he will get a lot of spoiling from the VP but I am sure it will be a positive way and he will not be allowed to get away with anything.
That is the great thing of how you see the Cheney grand children interacting with their grandparents because they have so much contact they are used to small children and their energy levels whereas unfortunately nowadays because of the distances people move away from family very often grand parents are now longer used to small children so when they do see them the visits are short and the interaction is not everyday which includes discipline from grandparents.
I hear so often which is so sad that the children are so energetic they wear me out so visits are short whereas when I was small my grandmother lived down the road and because my parents had a fish and chip shop she often stayed at our house or I used to go to her all day. IMHO that is how it should be and is obviously is with the Cheney's
