Howie added that a reporter went to the Mass. Civil Defense bunker in Framingham, and they didn't seem to concerned about the one source dirty bomb story. - Tom

"Are they sure the threat didn't actually come from an SUV or a handgun?" Worse than that. Someone lit up a cigarette. (((((SHUDDERRRRR)))))

MEMA Placed On Standby Status The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has been placed on standby, and public safety officials are meeting at the bunker, officials said Wednesday.
There have been reports that the FBI office in Boston received a call from an FBI office in California warning officials about a suspicious person that may be in the area. There have been no specific threats made, but FBI agents in Boston have been put on alert, and officials started to gather at MEMA at about 1:30 p.m.
NewsCenter 5 and TheBostonChannel.com will have more information as it becomes available.

Thanks, AD........
Did I read above that someone slipped in from Mexico?
Imagine that!

Well, hopefully they really aren't too concerned and aren't just good poker players :) It sounds like a very professional and swift response to whatever the concern is, though. Good for them. And here's hoping it's a false alarm.

Boston metro is a very cosmopolitan place and has been for a long time. All the international students staying there after college is what made it so. Non student immigrants too. You got tons of Muslims and Arabs there in addition to other folks from 3rd world nations. Asians are very well represented. Tons of Haitians, Russians, Portuguese and Brazilians. Tons of Salvadorans. The strong Catholic church makes it a magnet for Catholics from all over.

Could be. Hannity's talking to his "very good friend John McCain," so I guess WABC radio isn't the breaking news source on this.

Dear FBI:We hear that a suspicious person with connection to possible terrorism, perhaps large-scale acts of violence, may be sought in Boston at this moment.
We are the American people.
There are millions of us, and hundreds of thousands if not millions in the effected area.
We are your potential eyes and eyes.
Please use us. We wish to be of service.
Could you accordingly please give us a physical description of this 'suspicious person', for example, height, weight, hair/eye color and ethnicity?

There is no city in the USA that does not have decent, good people living it it. To wish they would be victims of a terrorist bomb is beyond disgusting.
I'd expect more concern over this than is being shown on this thread. Civilians in ME countries were dancing on the streets on 9/11. Being somehow pleased that this threat is in Boston is just as sick. If there's any time to joke about this, it's after the area has been secured and people are safe.

Why would Islamists attack Boston with such a large Muslim population? This could be an attempt to divert resources from the Inauguration security.
