WEST JORDAN, Utah A Marine who was declared a deserter days before military court proceedings stemming from an earlier disappearance from Iraq has been placed on a list of "most wanted" fugitives.
A mug shot of Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun appeared this week on a Navy criminal justice Web site, which claims the missing corporal now uses the alias "Jafar." His placement on the Navy list puts him among a select group of fugitives, some of whom are being hunted on allegations of terrorism, murder, conspiracy to commit murder, indecent assault and rape.

He should be shot on sight, and buried with pig entrails.
I don't quite understand why this guy was let out of the brig, unless he's being tailed.
What a freakin disgrace to the Corps. That's all I'm gonna say...
Is there a reward or bounty on his head?
I don't know why he ever turned himself in in the first place, back in Lebanon. If he deserted, why didn't he just STAY deserted?
I'll never understand this guy's story. I'll also never understand why they let him go back to Utah if they knew he was a deserter. The whole thing is hinky.
That's the key to the insanity of his freedom.
No disgrace to the Marine Corps in THIS Army veterans eyes........just a muslim taking a bow in the sunlight.
Im glad I reserved judgement on this guy. I am now confident that this pig needs shot on sight and left for allah to sort out. He is confiding with the enemy as we speak. Most likely a cell in our very own country.
Wanted DEAD or alive!
Im an American second. Its just that im not a muslim but rather a Christian. Which is a world of difference in my opinion.

This guy's CO should explain why he sent this guy on leave in the first place. Hassoun should have been restricted to base until his trial. He could have still slipped away, but at least he wouldn't have had a 2-week head start.
My guess that there is some PC thinking on one side of the equation that gave him some rights he didn't deserve, and some first class mopery on his part for even coming back. Betcha he's dogmeat in three months.

Put a bounty on him; dead or alive. Desertion in time or war warrants it.
I'll buy you a beer if you catch him!
That would be my guess as well.
