She didn't say she hated them...Right. I admitted as much in my last post. I couldn't remember word-for-word, but "adamantly against illegal immigrants" is using emotional words. It was a play up on her part.

Hillary has adopted the Buchanan/Tancredo line on immigration hoping to get votes in 2008. It will probably work as there are plenty of people on this site who have already said they will vote for her if she promises to implement their agenda on immigration Yeah it's sad that they are willing to have at least another 4 years of selling military secrets to the chicomms with hillary, just because of an incessant irrational animus towards people who clean toilets and roof houses in 100 degree heat.

Jail would be just fine for these anti-American lawbreakers. I'm not holding my breath, though. The slaveholders have a pretty good grip on Bush and top GOPers. Gotta keep those fairways green for the Rich Guy to amuse himself...
I do think that there's a potential means for employers to get their butts sued--civil rights violations, restraint of trade, trafficking in quasi-slavery, maybe even RICO. Then they couldn't even afford slave wages to get their toilets scrubbed for them.

Of course this means wed have to see Tancredo doing the talk show circuit as the MSMs token Republican and listen to him complain how evil the Republican Party is because it wont listen to him JMO, he's kinda of like hillary, it's all about him.

live in SoCal and observe the same. I have a pretty good career now, but I have worked as a mechanic and driven truck to pay for college and grad school. Such work is below no one. It may not be pleasant, but it is honest labor.
Thanks RKV. I myself waited on tables and worked at a car wash (back-breaking!), of course, that was a long time ago.
We need these kind of jobs for teens, or those who do not finish high school, all kinds of reasons to have jobs available that do not require a higher education.

You think that the 180+ House Republicans that will be supporting Tancredo in this matter are all single-issue politicians Bush will get a large part of his immigration proposal through the House with support of 180+ House Republicans. The guest worker regularization proposal will be modified, but some portion is going to pass. Bet on it.

I surmise you will be the first in line tomorrow morning to take a janitorial or housekeeping position.Maybe not me, but I want entry level jobs for my kids and know that they're not made to fell as second class citizens in their own counrty because they don't speak another language.

Oh, your heart does bleed, doesn't it? And, lacking any clear moral purpose, you decide to try to angle into the race baiting.
But I'll bet your heart doesn't bleed even a little bit when the hospitals face foreclosure because of the demand for uncompensated care (the law demands that ERs treat everyone)...or the US children in the schools their parents support can't take art or music because the budget has to go for "English as a second language."
Your heart only bleeds for you and your own lazy self-interest.

IMO, you have issues with people who are successful for the crime of building buildings or farmers who need people to pick their produce.

I like Bush and voted for him, but he is plain wrong on the immigration issue.

Has anybody besides me noticed that the ONLY "Republican" involved in all these "press releases" is Tom Tancredo?
He has a better PR machine than Judicial Watch every thought about having. Does he send out fund raising letters, too?

Huh nothing about other factors such as lawyers closing down hospitals with their incessant lawsuits and nothing about school vouchers where parents could pick their own school.

Tancredo and Zell Miller need to go pay ol' Dubya a visit and 'splain this matter to him and get his thinkin' straightened out on this issue. Thank the good Lord Dubya won the election, but on this issue, that boy ain't right!

one issue Republicans hate that same business becuase it doesn't employ the right kind of people.Correct, with the "right kind of people" being either Americans, or foreigners who are in the U.S. legally and who have the legal right to work here. Companies that hire illegal aliens are in violation of federal law. You don't condone violating federal law, do you?

In your opinion you should get your lawn mowed for nearly free and shiftless wifey shouldn't have to learn to wash a dish. I know that this flood of lawlessness is profoundly destabilizing.
May these lawbreakers land in jail.
Failing that, may these lawbreakers face a class action of angry taxpaying and lawabiding citizens who are tired of footing the bill (in the collapse of social services) so that a few LAZY BUMS AND THEIR LAZY CONCUBINES can enjoy the privilege of being waited on for cheap.

Tancredo is being willfully disingenuous in this latest exercise of self-aggrandizement. He said 180+ Republicans are against any amnesty. There is no amnesty in the President's proposal. That's an ongoing deceit foisted by the demagogues. There are sanctions and fines and vettings involved in the regularization program.
President Bush is not going to make any formal proposal that will engender the opposition of 180 House Republicans, and the House Republicans would never initiate such legislation in the face of such opposition. This is just another example of a powerless backbencher positioning himself for a national run.
