Well, there's a small problem with that analogy. KR wasn't invited to perform at the Inaugural...he was invited to perform at a private party hosted by the President's daughters.
That's hardly the same thing, imo, as asking some skin-head with an agenda to give a presentation at the Inauguration. Kid Rock is an entertainer who happens to be pretty conservative and well liked by young people. How many folks do you think admire a Nazi? Besides which, if it's a private party, there isn't a whole lot that could be done, anyway. It's repulsive speech, but it's still protected.
