I wonder if what I understand is really what I understand sometimes.

I've been there! I think perhaps my trouble is I keep running into people who wear their feelings (and their life story) on their sleeves.

As I read on another thread:

. . . it just kills me when some people assume we have all had a cushy life just cause we don't dwell on it.
