Chicken Rice - my favorite!
I still can't used to this new soup schedule.
Ok, FRiend, inquiring minds, like me for instance, want to know. Spill it, what you know, would ya? My partner and I live in the boonies of northern MN. No cable available. I checked out satellite hook-ups too. Apparently not fast, either according to my work-site's techie guy, who I remotely connect to. We do have Dish TV, satellite, but doesn't seem to help much. DSL, Cable, Satellite................Am I living back eons ago, just because we live in the woods to get a FAST internet hookup? Seems so. Zip code 557..
SPOTSY!
Very cute graphic! Thanks Hope!
LOL!!! . . . my kid has a Black Beret . . . just as difficult to fit . . . ;-)
LOL! Now have we explained to Billy the proper number of times he is to call home yet?
Betsy!
How are you?
Do you have DSL in your area?
I'm home.
Good to be home, huh?
Feet up? Comfy? Warm?
Say what!!!!
Dan Rather in his report on 60 minutes said the White House had refused to deny the documents were real.
Rove, Bush, and Barlett had to know what Rather was going to say on the show unless they disputed the documents.
Not responding to charges is what John Kerry did for a few days after the first Swift Boat ads hit. Not responding to charges is what defeated candidates do. There is no way that Rove would fail to have the white house respond.
One of the ways a presidnet controls what Press Secretaries and Communications Directors say, is controlling what those staffers know. If you don't want the press to know, then don't tell the communications director or the Press Secretary.
For example when Bush went to visit Iraq a year ago, the Press Secretary and the communications people were not ahead of time. They were not told abut the change in plans or about the trip. It is a whtie house rule going back to at least Woodrow Wilson. Don't tell communications people anything a President does not want the press to know. Bartlett would be warned not to say they were fake.. and he would be warned not to say they were real.
White house communcations people ask what to say.. not what is the situation and what are we going to do ABOUT IT. Communications people only ask.. What am I to tell them. They do not ask what is the situation. They go before the press and tell them what they are told to tell them.
When Roberts demanded that Bartlett confirm or deny the documents validity... Bartlett had to know that meant CBS was not sure the documents were real. CBS would likely not have gone with the story if Bartlett claimed they were fake and offered any sort of proof. You can also bet Bartlet had been told what to say and do when Roberts asked Bartlet to confirm that the Documents were valid. Such questions are anticipated and prepared for.
With in minutes of Roberts delivering the Documents I would bet there were 20 people working to verify them. I have to believe that these cheap forgeries were known to be fake within the hour of the White House getting them.
The first rule of politics is to respond to charges as as fast as possible. That is why the Bush campaign had "Rapid Repsonse" Staffs. There is zero way the White House was not going to respond. They had to try to produce a desired result.
I think they did produce the desired result.
Do you live 5 minutes from work?
LOL! Still trying to teach the finer points of calling home I see.
Well, it's playing and it's Barry Sadler.
Looking for another version.
Old Sarge has picked a doozy, but I'll get it by morning.
LOL!! I love the sneaking guy.
No wonder his name is Tourister. LOL! He tours a long way from home.
