Hey! It IS quitting time! Unfortunately I still have to report to the LT who is in a meeting right now.

Yes it's cold, and my feet think it's even colder.

I hope Crystal likes the cake.

(Ma will be proud. In the time between I posted that cake and now, I wrote and posted a 500-word article on my About.com site. Note: If you've considered hydrogen peroxide IV therapy, don't.) ;)

If you're curious, you can read why (or why not) here: http://chronicfatigue.about.com/b/a/2005_01_11.htm

Thank you for pointing me that article. I haven't heard of that treatment, but with all the medical conditions I suffer from, I'm sure it was only a matter of time before someone suggested it.

Well, I hope your LT gets out of his meeting soon before your toes freeze.

You're welcome.

The advantage of only being able to afford treatments covered by health insurance is that I avoid that stuff. (The advantage of being unable to tolerate pain medications is that I avoid the Vioxx and other now-banned medications problems, too.) ;)

P.S. I can't handle chlorine bleach either, but I did find some handy info while researching that article!

Instead of bleach, you can substitute a solution of a quarter cup each of lemon juice and vinegar, and 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide.

I also learned: Never use bleach on linens, as it will break down the fibers. (I'll remember that if I ever get the linens out again. As it is, I also learned that storing them folded breaks down the fibers, too, so they're probably already shot.) ;)

So...if you can't fold them to store them, what are you suppose to do with them? Ravel them up and toss them in the corner?

Ahh, but breaking down the fibers makes them softer. All my favorite towels and sheets have holes in them, but they are so soft I can't throw them away.

LOL!!! That's an idea. ;)

(I assume lay flat or roll them. I didn't read that far. Clicked to read the bleach alternative, saw the other stuff as I skimmed the page, found the bleach alternative, left page. Clicked back button. The end.)

BTW...I am spoiling my baby girl!! I made cupcakes for her to take to school for her bday...She doesn't know I did this yet, but I made her a really cute mini bundt cake. I put "Happy Birthday Crystal" on the top of it, and put purple and blue flowers around the side! It is really cute!!!

I had a shirt like that once. I wore it when I painted. I still miss that shirt, but it got to where the holes took up more real estate than did the shirt. ;)
