Did anyone else see the video of the fireman risking his life and saving the 6-month old baby in the flood waters? Oh my - I just bawled my eyes out - and then gave Jake a BIG hug. ...whew...

I haven't watched the news in days. I just turned on Fox News. (Do you remember in what state it took place? I wonder if Weather Channel will show it.)
Somewhat related: My daughter just told me that she's now thankful they just lost power during the storm. Their friends are staying in a hotel until they can get the RAW SEWAGE cleaned out of their basement! (A bedroom and their home office is in the basement, so there'll be lots of property damage because of it, too.)

I beleive it was in California...I saw it on Fox News. You can hardly believe it's a baby - it looks like a doll. I can only imagine what was going thru that hero's mind. Thank God for our heroes who are willing to risk EVERYTHING for us!

They had the mother & the baby on some news show this morning (a show I will deny watching). They looked just fine. She tried soo hard to herself to save her child & did. The baby got away from the fireman during the rescue. That baby was rescued about three times that day! Such a miracle.

That's ok, I like all critters! Hey, it's just one more pet for my girl to bark nonstop at--just be sure to pack plenty of tomato juice with squnky-cat Angel Boy.
