"I think it's pretty vague seeing how we've only heard one rumor about it. But I prefer a more direct approach: Dropping Ted Kennedy out of an airplane on a pre-selected target."

Darkwolf377, I fear that would be a war crime.

I think what you have to remember is that timing is important. The citizens of the United States didn't want to get involved in WWII before Japan attacked. As a nation, Japan was easy to blame. Today we once again have a significant portion of the populace that not only doesn't want to get involved, they actually want to aid the enemy if they can. Today we have what some belive to be rogue agents committing the "Pearl Harbor" envents. It's much harder to focus, especially when our leaders get up and swoon over the good Moslem people.

That is the reality we have to deal with.

The left are idiots no doubt. I'm still not convinced they wouldn't support U.S. action if a nuke were to go off on U.S. soil. Still, that's about a 50/50 from where I sit.

LOL! On second thought, it is cruel, and it's definitely unusual--all that pork coming from the sky would make huge sections of the Middle East uninhabitable for Muslims for centuries.

Simple, says Dr. Jack Wheeler, creator of an acclaimed intelligence website dubbed "the oasis for rational conservatives": The U.S. has threatened to nuke the Muslim holy city of Mecca should the terror leader strike America again.

No way no how. This would unite every muslim in the world against us. Nobody could be this stupid.

Yeah. I think Teddy is the ultimate example of bringing us to our senses. And there is that passage in the Bible which promises the world will not again be destroyed by drowning, but by fire... lol

Beating a dead horse, for sure - You might be a Johnny-Come-Lately. We checked that argument off the list about an hour ago :p

Blech! I saw him on the Gonzales hearing today and wanted to smack him. That the MSM and the people of my state have given him a free ride for so long is a disgrace. The man can hardly get out a coherent thought, and his incessant hatefulness is revolting.

You said -- "There is nothing that would unite the Muslims against us more than nuking Mecca."

You're missing their main motivation in the first place. I'm talking about the Muslims' core issue -- which is the legitimacy of their religion.

What drives them to taken over territory (or regaining back any territory they've ever had in "history" because it's sacred), what drives them to want to destroy the Jews and the state of Israel, what drives them to want to drive everyone off the Temple Mount (where the Dome of the Rock is), what drives them to irrational acts (the way we see it) of cutting off heads, abusing their women, tolerating dictatorships for their people in place of freedom and democracy, what drives them on all this to the utter deprivation of their people and their own lives, along with their own children's live (as so-called "suicide bombers") -- what drives them in all this has nothing to do with money, freedom, suffering of their people, suffering of their own families, wanting a better life -- or any of the standard things that people think motivate others in general.

Purely, totally and ultimately -- the only thing which drives them, is the legitimacy of their religion and making Islam (supposedly) paramount to all other religions -- that Islam, which is destined to take over the entire world (killing all the Jews and Christians in the process).

Thus, what one can do to totally destroy Islam to all its current adherents and make the Imams and clerics totally powerless to affect or influence the "captive people" of Islam -- is to totally destroy all Islam's outward and "self-perceived" important (and critical) symbols.

That core symbol is in Mecca. Destroy that symbol and you destroy the religion of Islam forever. It will totally disintegrate. That's the bottom line.

Star Traveler

You said -- "This is what one might call a wedge issue. It couldn't be designed better to separate us from potential allies, if it were designed by Laden himself."

More likely to be a wedge issue for the Muslims, separating themselves from their own "fantasyworld", called Islam and their fantasy-god, called Allah (sounds more like a half-sneeze, to me).

Oh yes. Ted Kennedy kills his mistress - no problemo. Republican Bob Packwood uses innuendo with a few chickipoos and he's outta there.

You know what Gonzales wanted to ask when Teddy was speaking to him, "Well, yes Senator, but what I really have to ask you is... WHY your head is so FREAKING HUGE - my kids saw you on TV and thought it was Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin!"

I disagree. I mean, why else would he have to kill his mistress?

Thanks for the respose. Check out all my comments on this thread and I think you'll see that we progressed through some of the same issues you and I would if we were to do it all again.

Good night.
