These all make me shake my head, but it is #9 and #6 that leave me speechless.
A comprehensive list to be sure, but not all inclusive. Anyone have one to add?

36) "OK, I'll predict that the rapture's coming and you and I, Chris, are going up, and all these hypocritical conservatives who tell people not to do stuff but then they get caught doing are not." -- Maureen Dowd on the Chris Matthews show Not only bigoted, but shows the usual lib lack of familiarity with God's grace. If hypocrites weren't allowed in Heaven, none of us would be going, but fortunately the blood of Christ covers ALL sins.

#35 frosts me. Apparently he has never read the Constitution or listened the the POTUS' oath of office. Wife and I manned the designated solicitation area at our precinct -- the local high school. Because of the hurricane days, the youngsters had school. One of the maggot infested long hairs kept trying to put up a sign that said 'Where's my democracy, Dude?' Another who hasn't read or at least comprehended the constitution.

This past year was truly an embarassment of riches in the stupid quote department.

#6 takes the booby prize. Reading that quote for the first time here, I nearly lost my dinner. When I carried twins, the doctor recommended against amniocentisis because it could harm one of the babies .. I cannot IMAGINE aborting two of three so I would be spared living on Staten Island and buying at Costco.

guess Mr. Wolcott (#3) must be REALLY happy with the earthquake and tsunami ! Hey, what's 150,000 dead people to make his point?
This quote should be shoved in his face, over and over

Great list. And I agree with the choice for #1. Only #30 seems out of place to me -- I think it got misplaced from a list of good, succinct quotes from 2004.

6) "On the subway, Peter asked, 'Shouldn't we consider having triplets?' And I had this adverse reaction: 'This is why they say it's the woman's choice, because you think I could just carry triplets. That's easy for you to say, but I'd have to give up my life.' Not only would I have to be on bed rest at 20 weeks, I wouldn't be able to fly after 15. I was already at eight weeks. When I found out about the triplets, I felt like: It's not the back of a pickup at 16, but now I'm going to have to move to Staten Island. I'll never leave my house because I'll have to care for these children. I'll have to start shopping only at Costco and buying big jars of mayonnaise. Even in my moments of thinking about having three, I don't think that deep down I was ever considering it." -- Amy Richards, an abortion rights advocate, describes her decision to kill two of her babies, leaving her with a single baby, instead of having triplets There is a special place in hell for that filthy murdering bitch.

How about the question Chrissy Matthews asked Sen. Zell Miller about,
" Do you believe that John Kerry and Ted Kennedy really only believe in defending America with spitballs?"
One of the stupid questions that lead to the infamous duel challenge!

From # 4:
"Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making;"
This sums up the whole democratic tactic. Imagine there is a problem (er... like global warming) and it's real.

I'd gladly shop at Costco for the rest of my life in lieu of murdering two of my own children. God help her.

Don't forget Albert...
"He betrayed this country!" Mr. Gore shouted into the microphone at a rally of Tennessee Democrats here in a stuffy hotel ballroom. "He played on our fears. He took America on an ill-conceived foreign adventure dangerous to our troops, an adventure preordained and planned before 9/11 ever took place."

17) "I think if Kerry were to win this in a tight race, I think there would be an effort to mount a coup, quite frankly." -- Bill Moyers There was in fact an effort to mount a coup during the tenure of Franklin Roosevelt.

33) "(George Bush) betrayed this country! He played on our fears. He took America on an ill-conceived foreign adventure dangerous to our troops, an adventure preordained and planned before 9/11 ever took place!" -- Al Gore Planned by bill clinton with algore's knowledge and support, as it turns out.
I think I agree with 15 and 30.

I thought Kerry was obnoxious in asking if the training wheels came off when Bush fell off his bicycle, considering that Kerry fell off his bicycle two weeks earlier.
