LOL! Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that unmarried people should be expected to have families....You have a very good reason to choose to be single. My comments were specifically aimed at married people who choose to not have children, and most likely for selfish reasons. Obviously, medical conditions are another exception.
However, I stand by my comments about grandchildren. Nothing can compare to that.

How is having children a selfless act? Most people who have children are expressing the ultimate in selfish megalomania -- they want to make another copy of themselves.
Now, this is OK -- it is nature's way if using our self-love to propogate the sepcies. But don't elevate people who have kids to some sort of selfless status. It just ain't so.
