Does anyone think these numbers are exaggerated? After all, they are now had a 10 fold increase in the number of deaths.

No words for something of this magnitude. In the words of Stalin, "A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic."
I can't imagine any words being further from the truth. The higher the number climbs, for me anyway...The more profound my sadness and wishes for peace upon the surviving.

I've predicted for 2 days there would be 500,000 dead from the wave and another 500,000 die from disease. This has potential to destablize the entire world. Trickle down effect.

Were these Islands primarily Muslim or Christian? Is this the part of Indonesia where they have been burning churches?

Just because they're not there doesn't mean they're dead.

He said the estimate was based on air surveillance by Indonesian authorities who found no signs of life in places like Meulaboh, Pulau Simeulue and Tapak Tuan while several islands off the west coast of Sumatera had "disappeared". Just because they're not there doesn't mean they're dead.

If this is true, it's a catastrophe of biblical proportion, but we should remember that many countries are competing for relief dollars. It wouldn't be the first time suffering has been exploited by the unscrupulous.
