Abbas: There will be no peace until Israel tears down separation fence

Taking his campaign to succeed Yasser Arafat to the foot of the West Bank separation fence, PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday there would be no peace until Israel tore it down.
"No (Middle East) peace can transpire with (Jewish) settlements and the wall," Abbas said with his back to the separation fence around Qalqilyah near the West Bank's boundary with Israel.
"We tell our neighbors: 'No matter how many settlements, walls or obstacles you build, it will not bring you security or peace," Abbas said.
The hearty welcome given Abbas at his first campaign rally in Jericho on Tuesday carried over on Wednesday to Qalqilyah and Tul Karm. Crowds repeatedly interrupted his speeches with cheers and people of all ages ran excitedly after his convoy.
Heavy security was draped around Abbas because of feared threats from militants opposed to peacemaking. However, local members of the al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed group in the mainstream Fatah faction that nominated Abbas for president, greeted Abbas and said they would vote for him.
Abu Salem, commander of the Brigades in Tul Karm, said gunmen would be receptive to Abbas's call for an end to armed violence, which has abated in most areas since Arafat died in November.
Abbas repeated his campaign theme that he would follow in Arafat's footsteps by vowing to seek a state in all of the West Bank and Gaza Strip with East Jerusalem as its capital and the "right of return" of refugees to what is now Israel.
Abbas, you look old enough to have been born before Israel started putting up the wall. Therefore you lying sack of sh*t, you are fully aware that there was no peace before the wall was built.
If you Palestinians really want peace, all you have to do is begin doing unto the Israeli's as you would have them do unto you.

I know there are a lot of American Jews and Israelis that aren't fans of Sharon, but I give him credit for 2 things. Building the fence over the objections of the world (UN), and at least taking the first step in Bush's plan, by unilaterally offering the Gaza strip. All he and Bush wants from the Palestinians right now is to denounce terrorism and THEY CAN'T DO IT!!!!

Ah, the old Ararfat negotiating strategery! Keep putting key demands as preconditions to negotiations and keep changing/adding preconditions as circumstances change. Thus, there are always blocks to negotiations. It was what made ole rag head so effective and why he accomplished so mush, including partial ownership of a bowlng alley, every Palestinians' dream!

Peace can only happen if the mullahs start to preach peaceful coexistence, countries like Saudi Arabia, and Iran starts to allow us to build churches in their countries. Once the Muslim media stop calling us the big Satan. Once the Muslim/non-Muslim intellectuals become free to criticize Islam on their TV as our intellectuals criticize Christianity without death threats. Once their people can convert to Christianity without fearing "GOVERNMENT" persecution. THEN, and only then they can experience peace, and the rest of the world will be happy to let them rejoin the human race. It is not fair for Arab Muslim nations to spend billions of dollars on the West to propagate their hate cult, and convert our citizens to Islam without allowing reciprocation (not even one single church is allowed to be build). Only then we will have freedom of religion as it was intended to mean - PEOPLE CHOICE IS RESPECTED WITHOUT GOVERNMENT INTIMIDATIONS.

Yes, and the fence should be completed and made PERMANENT. In fact they should have an executive branch department for it. Headed by the "Secretary of de Fence!"
Well, as Rush says, peace is a direct result of victory.
I'm personally convinced that in Australia for example, the majority of mooselimbs wouldn't set foot in a mosque if there wasn't an imam to threaten them. We have an imam in Sydney, at Lakemba who has a site on the Net where he writes and tells the mooselimbs what will happen to them of they don't conform to islam in the most terrifying language. Most moooselimbs would cheerfully become apostate if left alone to do so. Example: a hundred or so years ago, many afghani men arrived in Australia (with camels) married local women (many married oboriginals) and those who prayed to Mecca did so quietly and peacefully, but most of them disengaged from their religion altogether. Why? Because there were no clerics! No one forced them to bow to allah or chased them into a mosque, or threatened them with death for apostasy.
Their descendants mixed with the Irish, English and Scots immigrants also...and all we have left to show who they were are a few 'afghani' men leading camels along the beach at Broome as tourist attractions...and some 500.000 feral camels in the desert. ( Australia sells camels to Saudi Arabia, apparently they run real fast.)
What's my point? Did I digress? Yep. What I am trying to say is, the West made a terrible mistake allowing islamic CLERICS into their countries. This 'freedom of religion' in fact, is not only our greatest enemy - it's also the enemy of most of mooselimb immigrants to Australia, they are literally being held hostage.

Islam built three thousand mosques on ancient temple sites belonging to the Sikh in India. Islam built the al Aqsa (?) mosque on the site of the Temple in Jerusalem. A mosque is nothing but a strategy and every imam is a small time warlord a la mohammad. The cradle of terrorism is within the minds of the 'holy' men of islam. Prayer, five times a day re-enforces their hold over the poor fools who have been brainwashed since birth.
