We who care are disturbed that so little has been done for Terri. However, wild accusations against the Governor and the President are uncalled for.
Without the Governor's intervention under the law passed by the Legislature, Terri would be dead. If he is under the influence of some staff member who is Hospice-conneçted, and would rather Terri die in the Hospice than live, why did he intervene to save her life? Why? He has pursued legal action and has been shot down by the corrupt system at every turn. Still he pursues and pursues and pursues. Why does he do that if he would rather Terri die in the Hospice?
Many have mentioned that he could act, unilaterally, as Governor, to help Terri. I don't know the laws about that, but my strong presumption is that if he would ever act unilaterally in this, it would be as an absolute last resort after all appeal was over and Terri was going to be killed. Yes, we all want her helped, not just saved. But the Governor is acting as the Governor, or as he believes the Governor is meant to act.
It isn't enough for Terri, her family or for us. But we aren't the Governor, either. And we, acting without him, could not stop her starvation/dehydration death. He had to act, and he did. Now that law he used is overturned by a rotten court, but a court nontheless.
I pray for him, and others in position to do something, that they will find a way to save her, and that ultimately, she will get the help she needs and deserves.
Further, the Pinellas GOP is a corrupt outfit based upon my observations. You cannot stand anyone to criticize the President or Jeb Bush. I can tell you this.
If any harm comes to Terri, Florida will become a BLUE STATE BY DEFAULT, because republicans in name only - so called judges kill her while the no-backbone republicans say how sorry they are but there was nothing they could do.
I DON'T WANT THAT DAY TO COME. I worked hard to elect Jeb Bush and President Bush. If the Bush's are really pro-life and Jeb is a Roman Catholic, they better prove same should the US Supreme Court get all self-important and decide that Governors have no power - that the judicial system in the United States rules the land and IS OMNIPOTENT.
THEN THE KILLING WILL ESCALATE AND AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT IS LOST... sound radical? That's the plan of "death with dignity" if PRAYER AND MIGHT DO NOT SAVE TERRI!!!
As I read it, I was reminded that we all, all of us, need to pray and pray deeply for Terri's protection and freedom. We need to pray for the Schindlers and their attorneys and supporters, for the Govenor of Florida and his counsel and for wisdom of a supernatural level for the members of the Supreme Court of the United States.
And Felos, if you read this thread, as I suspect you do, with your martini close by ( I know I could use one about now) and a greedy smirk on your face, please understand, that thousands of eyes are upon you who understand what you are, even as you manipulate this tragedy, mocking the courts and deceiving so many.
You have no power. Real power comes from God, and God knows EXACTLY how you have abused Terri. To the Nth degree. He knows what evil you plan next, even before you spew it. I pity you. You are so lost.
Jeb acted because we shut down Tallahassee. We did a number in DC too.
