ARTICLE SNIPPET: "To press for immigration reform, for example, Call said to tell the Washingtonians that county schoolchildren feel threatened when they walk to the bus in the morning because of illegal immigrants along the roads.
The list of legislators targeted during Tuesday's work session includes Arizona Reps. Jim Kolbe, Rick Renzi, Ed Pastor, Jeff Flake, Raul Grijalva and Henry Waxman of California, and Arizona Sens. John McCain and Jon Kyl.
Newman asked Call whether or not a visit to the Department of Defense regarding the protection of Fort Huachuca during the Base Realignment and Closure process would be worthwhile.
Call said representatives from the city of Sierra Vista and the Fort Huachuca 50 also will be in Washington and he plans to stay in contact with them.
Call said he also plans to spend time with the U.S./Mexico Border Counties Coalition, which is having its legislative conference in Washington at the same time."
