Nonsense.

You've never been any closer to a "senior military officer" than a Sergeant Rock comic book.

Actually, they are pretty p.o.'d at (1) the media; (2) defeatists like you.

America wants to know where's those RINO's in supporting our troops abroad? McCain, Hagel, Lott, Collins! Rummy has far more integrity than any of them. I'd like to see the critics of Rummy spending their Christmas over in Iraq in supporting the troops.

The best the Dems can hope for is to bring Rumsfeld down. They envision a 'Vietnam Uprising' scenario that destabilized our morale and eventually caused our withdraw from Vietnam.

They will work towards that end. They have a huge disadvantage with it now though because during 'Nam they had the help and resources of Communist China and the USSR.

Things are a bit different now . .

I just said almost the same thing on another thread...They hope to undermine the civilian support at home.
I'm hoping my BP medicine is working well..Smarmy Kristol was slamming Rumsfield on Fox.

WHich bit represents outright lies? Bet you can't find a single one. It's all documented. I suppose we'll have folks putting their fingers in their ears and going "NANANANANANA" before long.

Maybe. Depends on how close to him you are.

I suspect if that is your closest contact, there are others who may have a more accurate cross section.

Living in Massachusetts, I had the opportunity to strike up a conversation with a gentleman at the gas station the other day on the basis of my huge STOP KERRY'S FRAUD-SWIFT BOAT VETS FOR TRUTH sticker that covers nearly a third of my rear window. The gentleman was suprised, and said he didn't see too many things like that around here. I noticed he had a very small Airborne sticker on his bumper. When I asked him, he was a medic (Physicians Assistant in Civilian life) who just got back from a year in Afghanistan.

He said he was astounded, and disgusted by the way things are portrayed in the media here. He said forcefully "It is NOTHING at all like the way they are portraying it."

Sure, this fellow is a stranger, and might be lying, but we exchanged business cards, and he works at a top hospital in my area and seemed like the real deal.

Who are you gonna believe? This guy, or Peter Jennings and Dan Rather? I venture there are many sheep who believe Rather.

Courage, indeed.

Secretary Rumsfeld (72 years old) went to the most dangerous places in Iraq. This trip was planned about 6 weeks ago (Mosul was added recently) I would like all his detractors to do the same!!

Even Fox has to put "Surprise Stunt" as a caption. I don't get it???

{To: JackJones:

Your "talking points" are old and stale..the mention of Rumsfeld with Saddam was a tip off..You'll need to get better at this...}

These leftist trolls act like this was some dark secret they are revealing to the world...ha ha ha...yeah, right. Too funny for words!

Rummy has been asked about this in many interviews and freely talks of why he visited Iraq way back then, what his mission was, what he did and did not do there, how he viewed Saddam, etc. We were rightly worried about Iran being able to overrun Iraq, and for v.i.p reasons we didn't want that to happen. Also, Rummy was in a great position to assess just who we were dealing with in Saddam Hussein.

Oh, and that canard about why attack Iraq if we haven't attacked Saudi Arabia. That one just leaves me ROFL. You know, if Bush had attacked Saudi Arabia, we would have a bigger problem than now, and these leftist trolls would have even more to weep, wail, moan, attack and bash about...

(All in the name of concern for the troops and the war effort...bwaaaaahahahaha!)

Saudi is a more "wicked" case than Iraq ever was, but he doesn't suggest invading that place...

We did invade S.A. on our way to Iraq and I give much of the credit to Rumsfeld for our occupying troops in S.A..

Our special forces launched from Saudi Arabia into Iraq. Thousands of Special Forces were lauched from S.A. which became vital when Turkey turned us down. Search and rescue missions were staged from Saudi Arabia.

We had three air command centers in Saudi Arabia. Prince Sultan air base, Tabuk air base and Arar regional airport. From Saudi Arabia we launched refueling tankers, F-16's, AWACS, C-130's, intelligence missions and reconnaissance flights. Some 300 planes staged from S.A. total.

Saudi Arabia supplied us with jet fuel at these airbases. They supplied us with tens of millions of dollars of discounted gas, oil and fuel for our forces. Steams of oil delivery trucks stretched for miles outside of Prince Sultan air base all the way to Iraq.

Cruise Missiles were fired using Saudi Air Space.

No flame intended, but the fact of the matter is that you're a product of the MSM. You don't know what you're talking about.
